After abandoning a career in ballet due to a pesky need to eat, Penny Ashton has been trotting the globe making a name for herself as an international comedienne.
She has two Billy T nominations, four Best Female Comedienne nominations, three Adelaide Fringe People's Choice nominations and one Honourable Mention in the Best Comedy Category at the Wellington Fringe Festival. One day she hopes to win something.
She is a regular on National Radio and her solo show Hot Pink Bits has been selling out all over New Zealand since 2007.
